My Greyhound Has Flaky Skin-any Tips?

DMX control. Part 8: Led Lighting

We are back to Porto in the festival Frame Research and Toulouse in the Corpus Media festival, experiences very different and we'll post more dedicated to video and an adequate summary;)

Today, however, wanted to dedicate a post to the LED lighting we use, which has given a different point of our work, mixing perfectly with the design and creating an environment and a color that we thought at first ... At first, Carles, our lighting technician, came to use this relatively inexpensive technology just because it does not interfere with the detection of movement but gradually it has become imperative for our show. We use two types: Scenarios and led bars.

Benefits:-colors
who get along very well with the design and create different environments.
-220V direct connection and communication with the board by DMX.
"We can control lighting only with a table, without dimer.
-independent strobe effects and some more (depending on device). Null
-interference in the detection chamber (providing not infrared).
-weigh little and little material illuminates the scene.

Disadvantages:
-not always good when you rent. Apparently there are several brands that manufacture these devices and some are "made in china"
"Most do not turn off gradually or as a dimmer bulb.

On the other hand, we can not speak of a particular brand because so far every site we are different things, to see the effect live and now we come to Toulouse as I said before, I edited a short video about how they lived and the way you can mount see what colors and options may offer.
