Until today, we had not talked much about costume, which is being coordinated by Kike Palma. Kike, and has collaborated with Erre que Erre in other shows, and for me has been a great help and relief, because I completely unconcerned of this issue (go shopping, watch prices, test items, etc. ), which is very much appreciated when you ride stuck in a creative process and because well I have no eye for that and Kike yeah ... I fully trust his taste, and in fact, I personally am thrilled with how this whole process has been working together and the final result. During all these months we have been talking a lot about how data should be in costume Avatar *, both aesthetically and functionally, and that dance should always be borne in mind the convenience and versatility of the garments to stop freedom to move. However much like Roman Kike and I are in favor of a dress "street" that gives a look of real, everyday person, rather than a dress designed exclusively for dance. So all this time, Kike has been looking and searching all parts of Barcelona ... has viewing each and every one of the videos until you find the final costume. With this, I have been very simple: when he called me to test a garment, and we were a safe, and only a matter of taste, touch and define. Also through a friend Kike, Arseni Domínguez (which is responsible for making custom orders for Josep Abril and Teresa Helbig patterns ), the latter could access designer. Teresa, besides being a great designer, is a wonderful person, fun and close. Their costumes are beautiful (you must look at their web it is amazing what it does, to do so, click here ). I remember, that we were quite nervous to see her, for she is one of the "great" and gave us great respect, but the truth is that both Arseni as she welcomed us into his shop very friendly. Teresa, close and fun as her own, took us out one and another model with enthusiasm, and finally gave selflessly 3 piece *. Avatar And Arseni, besides being the bridge to get there, he became involved in the project by cutting the pattern of dress for the part 2 of Avatar *. From here we wish to thank both Arseni as Teresa, because after all is a luxury and pleasure his pieces to use for dancing. ;)
Since I knew that Kike likes to draw and illustrate, I asked him to do some little drawings of costumes for posting to the blog. I found it interesting to show the costumes in this way than through pictures. So those who are interested in seeing it in motion, nothing better than to come to a presentation (you can see the section on scheduled dates).

- Part 1: comiezo the game. avatar (based on Susana Castro) is revealed little by little, their movements begin as mechanical and almost mathematical. Throughout this first part, the avatar as you understand the game, is getting rid of the rigidity and coldness in the movement, and also showing more of your own body / identity. So we've used a jersey with a hood over Teresa Helbig suit. The shoes are boots for the cold gray. The avatar, go slowly shedding clothes.
2 - Part II: Adapting to medium / game itself. The avatar, (based on Teresa Navarrete and Degas' little dancer) and understands the game and knows that anything can happen, so it must be open to what Roman through its proposed visual. This party, at the sight, sound and choreography is changing and varied. Finally decided to copy (with our own variations in both the pattern as in the tissue) the dress that was rehearsing, and it worked very well. To do this, Arseni took a pattern based on the dress, but given his touch personal and Elena, another friend of Kike then sewed the dress and tweaked ... and tweaked to get what he wanted: a very special dress, with a great flight and mobility, enhanced further by the weight of the fabric we chose, which is very different from the original. The shoes here are a few simple red socks.
3 - Part Three: fullness of the game. avatar (and based on my own movement) is completely cast in the same game. Now it is all part of a whole. The final dress, although completely different from the first part, say that the "sophistication" of the first. We use a semi-transparent skirt Teresa Helbig and a basic tank top. Shoes, boots again are (heel) of the same gray color as those of the first part of sequins, but very elegant ... their brightness is nuanced.
far post, forgive, because he was a little long, but that was already looking forward to doing a post dedicated to this paragraph, it has been one of the fields with my most enjoyable. Kike
Thank you for having been all this time so immersed and involved me in this search process ... I felt very "wrapped" to culminate in this item of clothing.
keep you informed, Greetings to all of you Ma
